I am posting this review as a warning to anyone who would choose to buy technology at this Walmart.
Today and elderly couple that were most certainly low income were trying to upgrade a phone. The young man who was "helping" them is employed by a company, OSL, that is contracted into Walmart.
This young man should be fired on the spot, but the manager of Walmart has no ability to direct him.
He was making Verizon plan changes and upgrading lines without taking into consideration the impact on the customer. By doing his slight of hand he was padding his pocket and not even putting the phone on the line that needed the new device.
I told him, "make your sell", but send them to a corporate Verizon store to have them swap the phones on the lines, and before I could give him the rest of the counsel he told me no. He said he would not do that because they are competitors and would unwind his deal.
I told him that it's nor about "his deal" it was about taking care of people, especially the elderly who do not understand, what he did not disclose, that making plan changes would cause back-dating on the plan causing bill adjustments. Effectively he had the potential of sucking away their entire SSI check with the nightmare he was setting them up for to get "his deal" done.
I hope that young blonde-haired guy is fired and feels a little pain in this affair. We have to take care of our older population. He IS the reason sales as a career is so untrusted.
