Although they have scaled back on all the 'over the PA Warning messages' that Walmart is closing soon at the end of the night, they now have a bunch of employees walking around telling people.
The funny thing is, IF YOU HAVE THAT MANY CUSTOMERS AT THE END OF YOUR OPEN HOURS... THEN MAYBE YOU NEVER SHOULD HAVE MOVED THE CLOSING TIME UP BY AN HOUR AND YOU SHOULD PROBABLY MOVE IT BACK TO 11PM although you kinda screwed yourself b/c now you'll have to pay to get the word out. Or have lost ur customers.
It was also an unpleasant surprise to find out that I can't do returns 30 minutes or less before closing because she has other closing things to do... I'm sorry. But during the open hours, customer service employees ARE SCHEDULED TO WORK TO HELP OUT THE CUSTOMERS! Like, really? If they have clising duties they need to accomplish before they leave, then you pay them and schedule them to be there for an extra 345 minutes after you r closed ( an extra 15 minutes incase they are still helping a customer at 10 pm, 5 to go to the bathroom bc they were probably holding it the while time.
In ALL MY YEARS OF CUSTOMER SERVICE, I HAVE NEVER SAID TO CUSTOMER, SORRY I can't help you bc I have to complete these tasks before I go home, and they stop paying me right at 10 o'clock so I can't help you.
Never ever.
Sorry, I'm sure it saves you millions of dollars across all the stores to cut the employees' shifts by 15 minutes at the end of the day... BUT they NEED THAT 15 minutes to ensure the customers WERE SATISFIED ABD HELPED when the store was OPEN, And TO FINISH CLEANING UP AND CLISING OUT THEIR STATIONS SO ITS READY FOR THE NEXT DAY.
ITS AN AWEFUL EXPERIENCE BEING IGNORED BC THEY WONT BE PAID FOR THEIR TIME WHILE THEY ARE AT WORK WORKING FOR YOU, and Im trying to buy things and thus give you my hard earn money, but yet not receiving any kind or respectful interactions w/staff b/c the manager is trying to heard them out the door so they r trying to heard us out the door, like sheep, after already closing an hour earlier & listening to the PA going off every 3 minutes b/c it's closing or every employee needs something at the end if the shift to be able to get out right at 10pm.
When I worked in customer service...
As long as the Customers was through the door before the closing time.... they got to be in there for as long as they wanted.
We never rushed them out.
Maybe a gentle nudge, if they were the last ones and everything was dine and we had been closed for over an hour... but never before we were closed. Lastly, I was always paid for every minute I worked until the customers left the building and the work was complete!
Not everything is about the bottom line and numbers...
Or you will see your numbers decline.
Just saying. 😉
And good luck. 👍
My recent visit to Walmart in Maple Ridge was a positive and convenient shopping experience. I had two tasks at hand: printing photos and purchasing a toothbrush.
Firstly, I utilized the photo printing service offered at Walmart. The self-service kiosk was easy to locate, and the instructions provided were clear and straightforward. I was able to select the desired photos from my phone and print them within minutes. The quality of the prints exceeded my expectations, with vibrant colors and sharp details. The convenience of being able to print photos on-site was a definite time-saver, and I appreciated the affordability of the service.
After completing the photo printing, I proceeded to the dental care section to purchase a toothbrush. The store had a wide selection of oral care products, including various brands and types of toothbrushes.
