It was annoying enough when they discontinued bags but at least they had boxes for us over the last 1 to 2 years everytime we came. Every. Single. Time. So did we bring bags this time? Of course not. Did they have boxes this time? Of course not. No notice about this posted whatsoever.
We were at checkout with a cart full of food including frozen stuff and were told we'd need to buy bags for everything ($20+ worth of them). I didn't want to do this. "It's okay" the employee said... "you can just take your cart to your car if you want, no bags". As if that's going to help me load $400 worth of groceries into my apartment building when I get home. Ridiculous.
We ended up buying $20 worth of plastic containers to use instead which we will be promptly returning tomorrow morning. I understand removing bags from stores. But why the boxes? So you can sell more bags? Where's the notice that there are no more boxes? It was a pretty unfortunate experience.
Love how this is laid out. Grocery is on bottom along with school supplies, gardening, home, while upstairs is toys, clothing, purses, electronics, shoes, hygiene. Love the selection and the layout. Don't like the minimal cashier's, so often use self checkouts.
