Why do they ask to see your receipt, if you’re given the option to text or email the receipt at the register? Are we supposed to pull out our phones and wait for the darn thing to load? This isn’t Costco, we’re not going to wait in line to show receipts before we are permitted to go on with our day.

Walmart is now good again. My family purchases items there weekly and most holidays. They have helpful staff a majority of the time. The only reason for the 4 stars is because I hate being stopped to have my receipt checked, especially when I have an unruly toddler or two with me. Super frustrating! However, the man who stops us is always polite and treats my family like humans and not like we're a thieving family of indigenous people trying to shoplift. So for that good job Walmart treat your good employees better and I'm sure you'll retain the good ones. But do better on training the younger staff. Every time you ask them about products, they shrug the shoulders and say I don't know, man, I just work here."" It would be nice to have knowledgeable staff, so I'm not wasting time and money on gimicks.

Absolutely hate going into any branch of Wally World, it's the same story- the lowest class of society has made it necessary to keep even basic items under close surveillance lock and key, so finding a staff member to help is a side quest in and of itself. It would be different if there was employee assistance buttons near the locked items but apparently the buttons themselves also need to be under lock and key as those were missing. One star because I can't stand the place, but that being said, the employee who eventually did help me was courteous and friendly.
