We just saw the Legends of Washington Irving show last night. What a pleasant surprise! We went to the 6:00 showing so it was sunny when we got there and dark by 7:00 when the show ended. The 7:30 would probably be pretty dramatic too in full darkness as there was lighting set up around the property we couldn't fully appreciate when we got there.
But what a pleasant surprise! The online description is somewhat lacking but this is a total gem and worth the ticket price. The main storyteller- literally recanting the whole short story- was phenomenal. There were puppets and music and parts that actually made you jump a little! The headless horseman makes a nice appearance. We brought our 8 and 11 year olds. The storytelling might have been a bit above them in the style it was written but they still enjoyed it and laughed.
