This is corrupt, crooked Org which is subsidized by WA state citizens! I filed complaint which HAD an ample of evidence and yet nothing was done! I showed the evidence that lawyer lied under oath and committed perjury but they ignored it! Corrupt and racist this is what they are!
The WSBA is no good if you’re filing a grievance against an attorney. These people protect their own and they have no problem showing and telling you.
I filed a grievance against an attorney I hired for a family law matter. Long story short, I paid the attorney in full and after I paid him, he stopped answering my calls. I never received the services I paid for, nor did I get an accounting statement to show what he worked on, if he did work on anything.
I submitted a grievance October 2021, and they dismissed my grievance, told me to communicate with my attorney (knowing that I exhausted every possible to contact the attorney, and them knowing that I expressed this attorney refuses to speak to me, also the whole point of filing the grievance) and they said this was considered a “fee dispute”.
How do you get “fraud” mixed up with a “fee dispute” especially when they are attorneys themselves?
I refused to let this go because I spent my last during a financial crisis, as a single mother to go to the courts and do things the right way and hired a fraudulent attorney; and ended up dealing with the crooked WSBA.
I provided proof of my phone bill that literally only shows outgoing calls to this attorney but no incoming calls, and so much more! But the WSBA IS standing behind him.
An example of a fee dispute would be if I actually received the services I paid for and let’s say I didn’t agree on paperwork the attorney said took a full hour but I felt it took minutes to do…so instead of him charging me $425 an hour, I felt it should’ve been $25 for the few minutes the paperwork took to do.
NOW LETS TALL ABOUT THE FRAUD! HERE’S A REAL EXAMPLE THAT THE WSBA IGNORED….
A LICENSED ATTORNEY ACCEPTING THOUSANDS TO PROVIDE SERVICES TO THEIR CLIENT. THE ATTORNEY INTENTIONALLY BREACHES THEIR OWN OATH/CONTRACT BY INTENTIONALLY STOPPING COMMUNICATION WITH THEIR CLIENT FOR NO REASON AT ALL, THE ATTORNEY HAD NO INTENTION ON PROVIDING THE AGREED UPON SERVICES.
There’s only one person at the WSBA that took me seriously, and did what he could and I am grateful to this man (I believe his name is Brian, will update if it’s incorrect), everyone else was dismissive, protective of their own, and crooked!
And you guys wonder why people take the law into their own hands! I’m not done. This is far from over. I may not get my money back but I damn sure won’t stop until my grievance is rightfully and thoroughly investigated and resolved FAIRLY!
*UPDATE
I was able to speak to the person that was handling my grievance. I want to say that my original review was done out of lack of understanding the process, and the limitations of what they can do to resolve grievances. I am sure that the individuals that handled my complaint did as much as they could and I know of 2 individuals that went above and beyond.
I suggest that you truly take the time to review and understand the process, in addition to all possible outcomes. If you’re wrapped up in your emotions and have your blinders on, as I did; I suggest looking into the outcomes in depth to make sure you are aware and consider if it’s something you want to move forward with because the outcome may reignite your feelings and make you irrational lol.
In reference to the process, it was definitely easy. I was able to provide supporting documentation in different forms. They respond as expected and within a timely manner.
My only con would probably not be a con if I did my research more in depth but I do fee that I wouldn’t have wrote my original review had someone taken the time to explain the why’s…but again…research would’ve given me the answers as well.
I DO NOT BELIEVE THE WSBA IS CROOKED.
