Do not stay here!!! Booked here for 2 nights for work (Fri and Sat night). The second day, I found several different bugs ON MY BED. No one could admit or deny if it was or wasn’t bedbugs. I had to be asked to be moved rooms. I only booked this motel because I had no other choice (holiday weekend so everywhere was booked except here and now I know why). I was told that I would get a call on Tuesday (after holiday) that I would get a call back on what kind of bug it was. I waited until 7 pm on Tuesday evening to give them a call to see if they had pest control out. Manager, Melissa, answered the call and she was so rude, which I didn’t understand why she was so rude. I told her that I stayed in room “304” and she was like “no they arent bedbugs” with zero explanation or apology. She said she wasn’t there for past 2 days, so I said I want to talk to the owner (who knew of my situation) and she refused to let me talk to anyone who was higher than her (owner and general manager of the company). I was told on Saturday that owner had found several more of these “bugs” but now Melissa is saying they had not found anything on Sunday or Monday. They had pest control out but didn’t call me. I don’t know what kind of manager does not research why there would be a pest control at their hotel. These people are liars and should not be trusted. Melissa told me I should be relieved that these aren’t bedbugs although they couldn’t figure out what bugs I saw even when I gave them a live bug in a ziploc bag. So frustrated with their non-answers. Never ever will be going back to these people. Oh and btw, Manresa castle are owned by same people. Stay away from both places if you don’t want to be surprised by bugs on your bed and when the staff doesn’t take any accountability for it.
One star is already too many. The people who run this establishment are dishonest and have no regard for their customers. They are so afraid of losing money that they don’t hesitate to give your room to someone else before you arrive and then tell you that they weren’t able to call you.
That’s what happened to my family. We had booked a room six months in advance for ourselves and our two young children through the hotel website. An hour before arriving in Port Townsend we received an email informing us that our booking had been cancelled.
When we finally arrived at 9 pm after a long travelling journey (flight + driving), the lady at the front desk was unhelpful and unsympathetic. She told us she couldn’t get reach of us by phone (our international phone number was perfectly correct on our booking details) so she gave our room to someone else.
She left us to our own devices to find another hotel late in the evening so that our children could get a decent night’s sleep.
If you want to be treated properly and be sure of getting a room when you arrive, stay away from this hotel.
Love love love! I live in Sequim and I wanted to go to port townsend for my Bachelorette party. We had a party of 5 (including myself) and I booked a room with 2 queens, figuring we would just "figure it out" for the extra person. Turns out our room came with a couch (yay) that was also a Murphy bed (super yay!)
The room was clean and the beds were super comfy. There is a ductless air conditioner and I loved that our room had a balcony with seating chairs over the water. For a view like we had, you seriously cannot beat the price. Staff was super friendly!
I will definitely stay here again and recommend to all my friends!
