I HATE BANKS.. and unless you like wasting money, I wouldn't get an account w/ Wells Fargo. When I set up my account I specifically denied the over draft protection. if I don't have enough cash, deny my purchase. Simple, right??? NO - on more than 1 occasion, somehow overdraft protection was added to my account , and i had multiple 35.00 charges for 4 to be exact. and the total of those 4 charges was less than 11.00 totals. so i had 140.00 fee added to my account for a 11.00 total spent. they did reverse those fees after i pleaded and complained. and after again verifying that i do not have overdraft protection and that i can only spend what i have, i still wind up w/ a 35.00 charge because they didn't deny a purchase when i didn't have the funds. - now i know what you might be thinking, why don't i keep better track of my spending... and my answer to that is I SHOULDNT HAVE TOO... that is why i specifically set up my account to deny me if i don't have funds. so i don't have to calculate deposits and withdrawals on a daily basis. so after making a deposit and noticing a fee, i went into Wells Fargo on meeker street in Kent, and spoke w/ the manager. cant remember her first name , but her last name was MICHAEL. after sitting there for 10 mins w/ this manager who is not only talking down to me but is also being a little smart ass while she try's to explain how even though i don't have over draft protection and shouldn't be able to spend more than what i have available, its not there fault that i over drafted my account. and this goes on and on until i finally just say ,can you or cant you reverse the 35.00 fee. she told me she can request the reversal. and as I'm sitting there she said. ok i gave you 1/2 back. I DONT WANT HALF BACK. if its not your fault and the fee cant be reverse, that's one thing. but don't tell me it is your fault, but we're only ganna give you half of what we took. either you are responsible or your not. so i told her she could take that 17.50 back cause i didn't want a 1/2 ass courtesy refund. i wanted what i was owed. and i informed her, once my pending transactions go through i would be closing my account. the only thing worse than having to deal w/ an issue, is having to deal w/ a condescending, smart ass, who thinks you wasting there time and goes out of there way to show it.
