The staff genuinely care about the students. The school works hard to provide differentiated learning and accommodate a wide range of academic levels.

This is a normal student review with my experience with the school. It Teaches nothing but bible. These kids are going to go on to collage and know nothing about what their learning because of the education they got here. The school has contacted me trying to get me to remove my review, but I am just going to update it because it is none of their business to try to make me delete it. The students are very stuck up and not easy to get along with. There are some students who are nice though, just very few of them. Teachers are very strict here. I got in trouble for making SAUCE at lunch. I like that it started at 8:30 instead of 7:55 like normal schools do. I remember watching a documentary in science on how evolution was fake and was a ploy by the government to get people to not believe in god. It was very strange. I personally do not recommend this school from my experiences

What a blessing to have a "Neighborhood School" in Yakima like West Chestnut! No matter how far we commute, we can be assured we are all included in the "neighborly" warmth that makes us all feel so welcome---parents, guardians, grandparents, extended relatives and other caregivers alike! So many positive things to say about this unique school...

Starting with the safety precautions and anti-bullying atmosphere--all children are valued and inclusive friendship circles are nurtured! And ending with the opportunities to encourage musical talent through band and choir, and private piano lessons which can be scheduled during the schoolday.

Everything inbetween would include caring, qualified teachers, daily reports of student progress, weekly Chapel services to stay on point spiritually--scripture memorization, dramatic acting opportunities that teach Biblical Principles, and of course standards of learning that align with Washington State Standards and in many cases exceed them.

I give West Chestnut Academy FIVE STARS based on my child's experience---a smile every day, and based on my expectations that include quality academic training coupled with character-building.
