Thriftway does have higher prices than the big chain groceries, but you can see where the money goes. Employee turnover is low (I've seen several of the same employees for the 18+ years I've lived in WS), service level and expertise is high, and the store is staffed so that it's rare to see a line of more than three customers. They even still have baggers, and they know how to bag properly. Plus, you'll find all sorts of specialty items and high-quality produce.

Since the change over in leadership staffing near the beginning of this year, the experience here in the store to me and my family has become much more racially tolerant and its Human kindness scale is over the 9000%. I can't tell you of a day since then that I haven't left that store without a joyful smile on my face and in my heart just from being around the cultured and courteous staff. The Staff here you just can't find anywhere else. It's definitely a family and community oriented grocery which whether they know it or not since their leadership change over has been a massive blessing for my family and I here in the community.

This is our favorite neighborhood grocer. The employees seem to enjoy themselves. The checkout lines are aways short. Great produce, meat, dairy, deli, and bakery departments.
