Westport Cut & Shave is exceptional! I would give more than 5 stars if I could. It is a small local woman owned business. Cathy is one of a kind. Our son hated haircuts but she has made it an absolute breeze and enjoyable. My husband is also Cathy’s client. His hair and beard have never looked better. Her styling and product recommendations have left him getting compliments on the regular.
Cathy is an amazing stylist but what keeps us coming back - is her. Walking into the shop feels like a warm hug. She is bright, positive and truly cares about her employees and clients. She goes above and beyond. I would never go to one of these chains where you are just another appointment. If you haven’t given this place a whirl, don’t miss an opportunity to find your last stylist!
I must agree with all of the other recent negative reviews. This was easily the worst haircut I’ve received in the area. The stylist, who was around 70 years old, didn’t listen to a word I said. I showed her a picture of the exact style I’ve been wearing for years, but she dismissed it, saying, “You don’t have hair like that.” Despite my efforts to explain, she went ahead and cut it completely different from what I asked for.
To make matters worse, I was charged $70 for a haircut that was nowhere near the quality I expected for that price. The entire experience was frustrating, and the end result was deeply disappointing. I won’t be coming back, and I definitely wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone else.
