When my physical therapist told me to stop buying shoes at DSW and instead get properly fitted in a shoe store where the employees know what they're doing and what they're selling, I started searching for that kind of shop. All the positive reviews for When the Shoe Fits led me to Beaverton where Bill listened to my tale of knee and foot issues, observed how I walked, and looked at the condition of the shoes I'd worn into the shop. He suggested a few brands and styles based on my somewhat unique issues, and told me if I had problems with the shoes that I had a few months to try them out and bring them back. I absolutely love my Seibel boots and inserts and my Hoka training shoes and inserts. My Dansko walking shoes were very uncomfortable so I returned them and ended up with Hoka hiking shoes as well. I am now a happy walker and hiker with my three new and very comfortable shoes and boots. I can't wait to return in a month or so to get a pair of sandals and in the fall to get another pair of boots. The service and attention, as well as the selection of shoes, are what make When the Shoe Fits the best choice when looking for new shoes. Highly recommended!

What a gem of a shoe store! It's a fairly small store with relatively limited selection, but it's a very well-chosen selection. I was looking for a casual shoe for my daily walks and general around-town wear, but not an athletic shoe style. They had several great options for me and carried my size (men's 13) in all of them. I'm not a runner, but I noticed an entire wall of athletic shoes as well. Topping off the experience was the sales person, who was among the most genuine and pleasant people I've had the pleasure of interacting with in a long time. She was informative, helpful, and not at all pushy. Lastly, the prices were very reasonable and comparable to other stores carrying similar types of shoes. They've earned my business and I will definitely head back when I'm in the market for another pair of shoes.

Fantastic service. Went to a "running store" before this for a foot problem I was having and was basically just handed a pair of shoes with no salesmanship. The experience at this store was far superior and personalized. Yes expensive brands but you feel like it is a good value with the added customer attention.
