This is probably THE best campground in all of Yosemite. It has all the amenities of the valley without all the overcrowding with the exception of showers. It's only first come first serve, however so if you are the type of person that don't like to take risks then this place is NOT for you.
It's also a good compromise as it's fairly close to Tuolumne Meadows (About 30 min) and about 50 - 60 min to the valley. Elevation is high (around 8000 ft) which means it's much colder than the valley and there is ABSOLUTELY no reception here (No Verizon, AT&T, Sprint, and T-Mobile)
