You know when you meet someone, and the two of you just click? Their energy feels right, and the conversation flows? Since we began working with Heather, who is BRILLIANT, it’s felt like we have been on the same team, the same page, chasing the same goal. We’re not just another name in her portfolio. My naughty, sweet, 13yr old beagle mix, is not just another dog. Our consult felt personal, and intimate in a way that was incredibly comforting. The past 2 years, our Zoie has been aging rather quickly. She was having issues with cysts opening, pancreatitis flare ups, elevated liver enzymes, all sorts of skin allergies and infections, and most recently, a Cushing’s Disease diagnosis. There was a good chunk of time, last fall, where I was fearful that we were nearing the end, bracing that I’d be saying “see ya later” sooner than we were ready to... I expected mediocrity when I scheduled our first consult at Wild, and ever since, we have had nothing but a wonderful experience. We completely overhauled Zoie’s diet, adding in medically appropriate herbs, and are focusing on joy again. A massive weight has been lifted off of my shoulders, knowing that we have options! I have hope again. The gloom, and nightly tears, are a thing of the past. My best friend has that sparkle in her eye again, and she’s got pep in her step! (I mean... she’s 13, so as much pep as a sweet lil senior pup can have, more of a happy prance I’d say.) As we continue to fine tune her routine, and her diet, my mama heart is just so thankful to Heather and the Wild team, for their knowledge, compassion, and the lengths they’ve gone to help my girl live out her best life. ❤
