How do I even begin to describe this oasis of tranquility?||I arrived in the evening greeted by Lisa who welcomed me like family with a wink, a smile, and a laugh I could feel in my soul. Lisa informed me I was in luck, as the Walking Man Brewery around the corner hosts live music and offers delicious food on Thursday nights. ||Headed down to my cabin to unpack and found a record player with selection of records waiting for me to play as I made myself comfortable. Afterward, I headed to the brewery which did not disappoint with friendly inviting staff and a courtyard filled with ambience, music, and melophiles. ||Upon return to my cabin, I took a relaxing soak in the hot tub on my private deck while enjoying the stars and listening to music before heading to bed. To my great delight, the bed was so comfortable that I awoke the next morning feeling as if I may have travelled to a higher dimension being greeted, as I was, to a truly magnificent sunrise!||Highly recommend!

Such a beautiful getaway. Quiet (albeit the trains) and picturesque. The train noise did not disturb us at all. The cabins are gorgeous! Besides the stove that did not work in Cabin #3, we made the most of it. The kitchen still is stocked with the essentials to cook (e.g., plates, utensils, pans, toaster, microwave). We loved it here and hope to be back!

We had a nice long weekend with family across two of the cabins at Wilder and Pine. When we needed things the service was quick and attentive and everything was well stocked and clean. The location is so beautiful and we spent a lot of time on the deck watching the river and looking around the riverbank. Unfortunately a few things were broken/not working when we arrived but the host was quick to do what she could to help. These cabins are not roomy by any means. From the photos and descriptions we definitely thought we’d have a bit more space than we did. But for a short summer visit with a lot of time spent outside, the small, rustic cabins worked out fine. This place is really all about the location! Note that the trains are very loud and frequent but it didn’t keep any of us up at night.
