Today I went to my local Williams-Sonoma here in Palm Springs, and I am someone who has spent an absolute fortune at Williams-Sonoma over my life. I went to the store because I had to return some wonderful gifts that were purchased for me from some dear friends, and they purchased peppermint bark, which I used to love and some cocktail, mixers and cocktail stuff, but I couldn’t have it because I can no longer eat sugar due to some medication I’m taking. When I went in to exchange these items, I figured I can get a store credit and buy some thing I could really use, and I had some other purchases I needed to make. The sales associate was rude to me, and abruptly told me that they do not take back returns on food. I told him this food is unopened. Here’s the receipt it’s original packaging. Everything is brand new why wouldn’t you take back a return from a very good customer? He explained to me they just don’t take food returns back. So today is the official day, I will never ever ever shop at Williams Sonoma again. The reality is that most of the products they sell I can buy elsewhere, and I will buy elsewhere, and I will look elsewhere . Corporations need to get their act together when it comes to customer service and it starts now.
