Medea has been my pain doctor for so many years now, Im going to guess 6-7 years at this point. Shes seen me through surgeries, she has EDS herself and is extremely compassionate and understands chronic pain personally. Shes been there for me when ive needed her most and is an angel of a person in general. Shes not just a doctor, Shes a genuine human being which is so hard to find. Idk how someone even gave her a 4 star review?!! Sometimes her clinic is hard to reach because shes been low on help but for me at least I have an emergency way to reach her which Ive also never had a doctor go so above and beyond to help me and care. She didn’t treat me like everyone else in WA state did with pain meds either. I have no abuse history ever in my life, no addictive issues and still was treated poorly by everywhere else just due to my age, told by other “doctors” that I should take FISH OIL for my severe EDS pain!!! And told fear Mongering things about ever being on any pain killer when I know myself and my body. Ive been on more serious pain meds for at least 6 years straight and im still fine! Never took a pill out of line and have other pain coping skills when im maxed out on my prescribed pain med dose. My doctor trusts me, and treats me like a human being. She also has compassion for those who have addiction history, im not sure how she treats those patients but Ive heard her speak to me about being upset at a certain pharmacy for treating me badly over the Meds im on, and scowling at me even! And she said, even if you were having an addiction problem, thats not right of them to treat a patient that way! Shes so compassionate, and highly intelligent and an outside of the box thinker. I love her as a person and a medical professional. I couldn’t rate her higher if I tried. When I met her, I was stuck using a walker in my mid 20s. After her help and being put on much better meds, not just for pain but for things like MCAS too, I ditched my walker a couple years ago and my carnal tunnel it was causing is a ton better and im not hunching as much. I’m able to -super super occasionally- go to things like wild waves theme park and climb a million stairs for one day- with my break through pain meds- and of course im bed ridden from it the next day or two, but before her help, that was absolutely not even possible. I went on rollercoasters and water rides this year for the first time in a decade! I’m still disabled unfortunately, shes not a god of course ha, no one can fix us, but she absolutely has given me more quality of life back, even for short bursts like that to go out for a day and just live again. I cant thank her and her clinic more.
