South of Edgerly Island and West of American Canyon the Napa River opens up into a wide stretch of water known as “Wombat Bay”. Stay in the marked channel unless you have a shallow draft boat and are familiar with this part of the river. Submerged objects and navigation hazards have claimed a few boats in this area. Capt.
