Once upon a time, Cost Plus was an amazing retail adventure with international food, decor, housewares, clothing, and jewelry. They even had an amazing wine selection.
Once they were purchased by Bed, Bath, & Beyond, they wasted no time dismantling Cost Plus. I don't know if this was to eliminate competition or to get them to conform to their corporate vision. In either case, the store is now barely even a pale shadow of what it used to be.
