HORRIBLE!! DO NOT USE THESE SERVICES! MY DAUGHTER WAS TRAVELING WITH HER 6 MONTH OLD BABY WHO IS ON OXYGEN FROM THE AIRPORT AND THIS CAB COMPANY LEFT MY DAUGHTER OUT IN THE COLD RAIN LATE AT NIGHT!
My daughter had arranged for round trip services through Yellow Cab of Silverdale to drop her off and pick her up at the airport shuttle pick-up/drop-off location. They picked up my daughter and 6 month old grand daughter (without a car seat) from their residence and took them to the airport shuttle pick-up location. No issues, no mention of car seat. My daughter was traveling alone with baby, baby's oxygen, luggage, stroller, and diaper bag. Airport shuttle and airlines don't require car seat and neither did the Yellow Cab of Silverdale when they first picked up my daughter. (Don't worry, baby has car seat at home and we have car seat for baby for when they arrive at their destination :))
My daughter arrives back in Washington and arranges for Yellow Cab of Silverdale to pick her up at the airport shuttle drop-off location. The cab/taxi is there when the airport shuttle arrives. My daughter starts loading all her items by the cab as the cab driver stands by and watches. I believe Chrissy was the name of the all-so helpful, ruthless cab/taxi driver. After my daughter gathers all her items from the airport shuttle and places them in the cab, the cab driver asks "Where's the car seat?" My daughter explained she was traveling from the airport and hadn't needed one; the airport shuttle didn't require one, the airlines didn't require one and neither did Yellow Cab of Silverdale when they originally picked her up. Chrissy, the rude, cold hearted cab driver started unloading all my daughters items. My daughter tried to explain to the cold-hearted cab driver that this was the same company, Yellow Cab of Silverdale, that transported her and her baby without a car seat to the airport shuttle pick-up location and had not mentioned anything about a car seat. My daughter pleaded with the cold-hearted cab driver that she didn't have anyone else to pick her up and to please deliver the services she had originally arranged, a round-trip service to and from the airport shuttle pick-up/drop-off locations. The cold-hearted cab driver placed all my daughters items on the curb, said "not her problem", rolled up her window and sped off. No kind of help in anyway, just in a hurry to leave a mother with baby on oxygen stranded at 7:30 at night. It was raining, cold and late. My daughter had her baby, the portable oxygen concentrator tank, a large back pack, a diaper bag, a boppy pillow and a stroller. She was able to make it into a lobby of a hotel and contact VIKING Cab Company. Thank you Viking Cab Company for having a heart and getting my babies home. By the way, I called to make a complaint and the dispatcher said "Is this so and so?" He knew who would be calling to make a complaint. He knew there was wrong doing. The dispatcher was nice. He referred me to the owner/manager, not so much. When I told the owner/manager of Yellow Cab Co of Silverdale that they left my daughter and grandbaby who is on oxygen out in the cold with lots of items to lug around, he said it's not even raining anymore and it's not even that cold out!! That was his response. Not "I'm sorry", "there must have been confusion" anything. The owner/manager, what ever he is, had no remorse, sympathy, anything. I explained had she known from the beginning, when they picked her up from her residence, she could have ran in and grabbed her car seat, but NOTHING was mentioned. They gave her a ride.
Please don't get me wrong, we're all about car seats. We had a car seat ready for baby when they got here and mommy has one up there, but public transportation needs to be consistent and clear for traveling parents. Maybe I'll give you a ride today but not sure about tomorrow; doesn't cut it! UNPROFESSIONAL, RUDE AND HEARTLESS SERVICE! I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND YELLOW CAB CO OF SILVERDALE!
