I love the Y, love all the classes, child watch, pool, and equipment, the only thing that I'm not to happy about is now that my son (7) is to old for child watch he goes in the back room but there isn't anyone there to watch him, I and others pay enough to have the middle kids (7-preteen) be watched so parents don't have to worry about them, just because they are to old to be in child watch doesn't mean they are old enough to be by themselves. My son knows to stay in that room but just like lots of kids they like to wonder and stuff.

My bestfriend did her daughters birthday there and it was very disappointing. The life guard came into the party very rudely, with a rude tone and dirty looks to announce the pool time and the rules of the pool and slammed the door extremely hard when existing. I don't know if she was having a bad day or what but it was awful. The worst part was when we got to the pool she told us our kids could not wear life jackets in the kiddy pool. I and other family explained to her our kids must wear them and she responded it's not deep enough but we explained how quickly little kids can run off and the deep pools are only separated by a walk way. She instisted they were not allowed in the kiddy pool. This was absolutely rediclous any water places I've been to encourages life jackets for small children. This girl either hated kids or had no idea about kids. Well I was there with my 6, 3, and 1 year old. I stayed very close to my one year old and kept a close eye on my other two. Sure enough ten minutes into being there my 3yr old was in the deep end drowning and not one single life guard budged. I jumped in after him, leaving my one yr old lucky nothing happened he was okay but not one single life guard even budged to come down and help or see if my son was okay. When we confronted the front desk guy of why life jackets should be worn at all times and why the life guards never budged he responded that the life jackets are a strangulation hazard. Which we told him was absolutely rediclous because the public pools nor silverwood have that rule but instead encourage life jackets for small children. He than responded that he didnt even know if it was a real rule and tried to defend the life guards saying they respond in 5 seconds and he doesnt know what happened but he would bring it up for discussion in their meeting. This place needs to be more educated on safety and handling children. No one ever tried to help, check to see if he was okay or apologized. My big issue is life jackets should never be discouraged with small children and with deep water near. I will never go here again.

I like the staff and I feel its a great place to work out. All one has to do is ask advice of a staff member or anyone who works at this gym, they are all helpful. You can meet new friends here - and if you want to develop a fitness plan, its very easy to get the advice and encouragement you need...I know because I have been a member here for over 5 years
