I had a surgery to fix a torn rotator cuff and strained bicep tendon. My friends had recommended Alex because of his ability to relieve pain. Wanting a licensed Physical Therapist, I decided to ask my surgeon to send my prescription for physical therapy to You Turn Physical Therapy.
On my first visit, 10 days after surgery, Alex said ‘You may have heard that physical therapy hurts: well I’m not that guy. If something I do hurts you, we stop.’ When I went in my arm was hurting enough that I was unable to do a simple curl at the elbow. Alex spent my therapy time using his Strain Counterstrain massage technique on my shoulder. By the time I left I could move my elbow freely and other pain around the surgery site was greatly diminished. Following visits were similarly helpful.
After a few weeks of this therapy Alex told me to start scheduling time with Becky, his wife and therapy business partner. He said that she was great with the biomechanics of the therapy that I needed. She has been amazing to work with. And no, she doesn’t believe in making me hurt either. Her therapy has been challenging but not painful. My surgeon has been pleased with my progress.
I would strongly recommend this team to you. The combination of the Strain Counterstrain therapy from Alex and the great traditional Physical Therapy from Becky makes a winning combination.
Update: I have been seeing Alex for almost 6 months now and I am continuing to get relief. If you want to get relief for what ails you Alex is the person to see!!!
Original: have been seeing Alex for a few months now and he has helped tremendously with not only my known pain but pain that I didn't even know I was having until he made it better!
Alex has been working with me on pain from trigeminal neuralgia, chronic sinus congestion, chest muscle pain and shortness of breath from post Covid.
I feel like Alex is the most beneficial provider from my multidisciplinary team (doctors, dentist, oral surgeon, acupuncturist and chiropractor). I leave my appointments with him feeling relax and where he worked on released.
