In less than 24 hours, the vehicle I purchased from Zayna had a major coolant leak.
Ironically, the salesman, William, had specifically pointed out the vehicle had no leaks and even specifically pointed out the coolant being full.
According to my mechanic, he could tell that a "leak stop" product had been used to hide the leak.
William, the salesman, who sold this vehicle to me, continued to point out that I had purchased no warranty and the vehicle was as-is.
He did offer for me to PAY his mechanic to fix it.
By Washinton State Law, a coolant leak is considered an unsafe condition and must be addressed by the dealer.
Regardless of the as-is status, they are required to fix this issue under Washington State RCW 62A.2-314, the implied warranty requirements of car dealerships.
William refused to acknowledge this law and just continued to offer me the services of his mechanic (whom should have caught this issue before).
I can't prove indefinitely that he (William) knew about the leak, but it is quite suspicious that he pointed out the coolant specifically as being full and leak free during his sale.
I offered him a settlement for 600.00 for a 900.00 repair (for the collant leak, a cracked thermostat housing) and he absolutely refused. I was more than fair.
On top of the coolant issue, there is an AC issue. William assured me that it was a recharge issue and gave me 200.00 when I bought the vehicle to get it recharged (he slightly refused to charge it himself). It is an electrical issue, and not just a charge. It's not a safety issue so therefore doesn't fall under the Implied Warranty Laws, however, it is very dishonest and sad that he refused to take care of his customer in the slightest.
I will be reporting them to the BBB, the Attorney General, and filing a small claim with the courts.
Please stay away.
