Fortunately my location was between the technicians stops so he was able to squeeze my call in between. (He arrived less than five minutes after I called their office.) The company charges a standard "service charge" just to have a technician show up. This the first time that I have had to pay two separate amounts when making this type of call. Then the "technician" (possibly independent contractor) makes up an absurdly high fee for the actual work performed after confirmation that the home office has not already quoted a rate. A 10% (that is "not really a tax" discount is offered for cash payment vs. credit/debit (traceable) transaction. Filling out the paperwork and running card took longer than opening my car door.

My rental home needed new locks. The tenant told me that the locks were not working properly, so I had her ring up a local locksmith to take care of the issue. Their locksmith gave us a reasonable appraisal so I had him do the job, and all is well now. The tenant is happy, and as a result, so am I. All in all, I had a good experience and would happily use them again.
