Zip Locksmith did a terrific job of replacing my locks. They came the same day that I called and gave me a fair quote so I thought I'd use them...and it was a good choice because the service was really good. And the customer service too..

Called to have them unlock a car door. Was told $29 to unlock the door plus an additional amount that they couldn't quote over the. Technician showed up and quoted me $220 after taxes to do the job. I told him no thanks and then he said he would do it for $150. I told him no thank you again and he left. Dispatcher called me back 5 minutes later and said he could do it for a flat rate of $79. I told her i would gladly have paid that if they wouldn't have started out at almost three times that amount and that I'd be doing business with someone else.

Tommy, one of the lock technicians was extremely impatient and rude when he had arrived less than 5 minutes before my mother and I did (we were coming from home). When he called to tell me that he had arrived at my mother's workplace, where she had left her locked vehicle, I told him that we were less than 5 minutes away and he responded, "Hurry up because I have to leave". Telling a customer to hurry up because YOU'RE in a hurry is NOT GOOD CUSTOMER SERVICE. Once my mother and I arrived at her workplace - where she had left the locked car, we learn to find out that my mother never locked the keys in the car in the first place and actually had dropped it at work earlier in the day and a coworker had found it and dropped it off with HR. My mother proceeds to tell him that the key was not locked in the car and that it was in her workplace, Tommy rudely said, "Of course it is". THEN proceeds to charge my mother and I $50 for a, "SERVICES and WAITING" fee. He performed no services to my mother's car whatsoever and waited LESS THAN 5 minutes for my mother and I to arrive and is charging $50?! It only took him 10 minutes to get to my mother's workplace and waited less than 5 minutes after he arrived and wants $50. I told Tommy that I only had $20 in cash on me and asked if he would accept that - he quickly agreed, took my cash and left. No receipt or proof of this $20 "Service and Waiting" fee whatsoever. Heaven forbid that someone actually locks their key in their vehicle and needs Tommy to go to their rescue. This was my first experience with a locksmith, and surely the last interaction I have with Zip Locksmith in Kent.
