I took a flight from California to Texas and hired movers to help me unload furniture from a Zippy Shell portable storage container. The container did not arrive on time, and I was only in town for a few days. In addition, I am currently disabled, so I telephoned Zippy Shell and had the unfortunate experience of speaking with “Ashley” via telephone. Upon conversing with Ashley, she was rude and redundant in her demeanor, but indicated she would contact the local facility.
After hours had passed and not hearing from Ashley, I telephoned Zippy Shell again and spoke with another representative. This representative was much kinder and put me on hold to see what could be done. Suddenly Ashley got back on the telephone and told me that it would be another week before someone could deliver the container. Upon communicating to Ashley that I would not be in town, and movers had already been hired, she did not care.
Ashley refused to give me the name or contact information of her supervisor. She was adamant that she is the highest supervisor and manager that I would be able to get in contact with and no further information regarding who her boss is or contact information for the corporate office would be given to me. I insisted on getting the information of where my property was located, so I could have the movers pick it up, and she gave me an address but no telephone number.
I immediately drove 45 minutes directly to the location and spoke with a nice gentlemen by the name of Eric who arranged to have my items delivered the same day. Apparently Ashley never telephoned them. Her actions against me were retaliatory, malicious and vindictive. In addition, it is unbelievable that she refused to disclose her supervisor’s name or contact information.
It’s a shame, as there are good people who work for this company, such as Eric, the delivery driver, etc. One bad apple made this a horrendous experience for me.
