We bring our dog (a 2 yr old high energy working dog breed) to obedience 1, and we LOVE trainer Mike. He brings phenomenal energy and attentiveness to each session. He adds layers to help both struggling and excelling dogs in the class. We had our first class with a different trainer and felt a little lost and overwhelmed, but ever since taking our dog to Mike's classes only, we always leave feeling like more confident and informed dog parents. At first, our plan was to finish obedience 1 and decide how we felt about Zoom Room. Because of Mike, we plan to keep our dog at Zoom Room through all of the obedience classes (or whatever Mike recommends!) and beyond.
We definitely see major improvements in our dog because we are learning the tools we need to help him and can't wait to continue to learn!
We have sent all of our pups to the Zoom Room and they learned from an early age the basics of sit, stay, down, leave it, and 'touch' which is one of the BEST commands they know! It's actually telling them to come but it's more like a fun game for them!!
We get lots of compliments of how well behaved our pups are in public - we take them on trips, to restaurants, and shopping and they do very well! A few people have asked us if it's the characteristic of the breed to be so well behaved - Uh No!! It's because we have spent a lot of time training our pups!
And I just want to mention that they offer puppy preschool classes for pups up to 14 weeks (I think that's the max age before they move on to the next level). It's a great way to socialize your pup early!
The trainers at Zoom Room are GREAT! - they're so patient and they teach at a great pace. And if they see that someone is having trouble, they will offer assistance.
Blaine, the owner, is just so nice - and he's the host with the most! He walks around talking to the pet owners, answers ant questions people may have, gives advice if he notices anything, plus he's always so kind to offer water and coffee to anyone waiting.
Do yourself - and your pup - a favor! Sign them up for Zoom Room classes! The technique they teach is so easy to follow and it's so rewarding to see it pay off when you have the best behaved pup the next time you take them for an outing!!
