Just needed an air check and I’m sitting in my car parked here for over 10 minutes and not one employee acknowledged me. Took the 3rd person to walk pass to finally help. The guy who helped me was kind, but didn’t apologize for the wait so I’ll give 3 stars.

I got to American tire to fix a tire the people that had appointments and the walk-ins that were after me they all got taken out before me including the people with appointment. I sat there for three hours and 24 minutes. You guys also messed up a Lugnut couldn’t put it back on the back driver side tire and told me that it was OK to drive that way. You guys basically messed it up and didn’t wanna replace the lugnut. That if I want it to be replaced for me to go back in why should I go back in if they’re the ones that messed up my lugnut.

This is the last time we'll use them. We've been going there for years, but have noticed a decided downturn in quality and service more recently. The first red flag was when I called, arranged for the tires which had to be ordered in (no big deal), and was told I'd receive a call back as soon as they arrived (a day or two, I was told). They never called back. After two weeks, I called, and was told they had tried to call me. No missed calls on my phone from them, no messages left, but if they said they called, who am I to call them a liar. While speaking with the service agent, I specifically said I had an open window but didn't want to spend and hour or two waiting with my appointment. He assured me that with any appointment, my wait would be no more than 30 minutes. When I walked in, a few minutes ahead of my appointment, of course the place was packed. I assumed the wait would be longer, which would have been fine, but I was told again that I was promised 30 minutes with the appointment. I noticed on the call sheet that I was the only appointment, so assumed that the service agent knew what he was talking about. I paid, and left, returning 45 minutes later. As I walked in the door, they were just then driving my vehicle into the service bay. I was then told the morning had been "crazy" but noticed that all the walk-ins that had been there were already gone. Maybe if I had sat around and glared more? That really shouldn't necessary. I just need to be told how long my wait will be. Of course, it was going to be another 30 minutes at least. Nearly 45 minutes later, at almost an hour and half total, my vehicle was finally ready. I was never thrilled with their prices, their discounts feel half-hearted, they always upsell you on services that you probably don't need or won't use, and you can usually find the same tires for less at a local mom and pop shop. IN addition, there doesn't seem to be much value in setting up and appointment, being lied to about how much time it will take, and being lied to again after they've already failed to meet their original quote and taking all the walk-ins before a scheduled appointment. We will not be returning to this shop.
