CHP called Astro Tow. I was told my truck would be towed to safe place right off the freeway. Driver kept driving past several safe places and eventually stopped where he claimed it would be safe to leave my Peterbilt. Was grossly overcharged and left in a zone that wasn't marked, but had local commercial parking restrictions. Happened to be his hometown Bellflower. I received a ticket around 7:00 a.m. the next morning before I can move it. I tried to contest the ticket to no avail.The tow company that I called the next morning said they would have been much less even if called by CHP. Shame on Astro for not only overcharging us truckers, but also for leaving me in a place where I would get ticketed. I wouldn't be surprised if they called parking enforcement themselves trying to squeeze every penny out of us...

If you need a tow don't call Astro!
