After my insurance company, USAA, deemed my 2017 BMW M4 Coupe a total loss, they quickly offered me a very low, wholesale dollar amount to settle my claim. Because it would take another $8k more to satisfy my loan, I declined, coming back to them with retail comps in my area, as well as what vehicles, like mine, were selling for at auction, in order to show them that their "Fair Market Value" was much to low. They wouldn't budge. I'd even just paid $1,500 for 4 new 19" Michelin Pilot, All Season Performance tires, 2 days before the accident occurred, yet they weren't showing me any adjustments in their value for those new, high end tires. After 2 months of getting nowhere with them increasing their offer to settle, I finally decided to hire an independent field appraiser. I sent an email through Auto Appraisal Network's website, explaining the situation. John responded quickly and we set up an appointment for him to come see my vehicle. John explained the process to me, that because I had hired an independent appraiser, now the insurance company had to do the same. If those two appraisers couldn't come to an agreed settlement amount, an umpire would step in (USAA and I would split that cost). John assured me he had done this for many years and had never had an umpire have to step in, that they always ended up setting. Within a matter of a few weeks of hiring him, John got them to settle at more than I paid for my car, 4 months prior! Which was more than enough to pay off my loan! I was elated!!! Oh, I neglected to mention that I spent 30 years as a career auto sales woman, including European luxury brands like BMW. I know the automotive industry like the back of my hand, yet I was unable to do in 2 months, what he did In just a few short weeks. This was the best $425 I've ever spent and I highly recommend John and Auto Appraisal Network!!!
