Big fan of blue bottle (humbly), i would always make it a point to visit blue bottle whenever possible.
This particular outlet, nestled alongside the canal, was particularly charming with its picturesque brownstone facade, inviting high ceiling and spacious layout. However it seems the queue never dwindles - it’s always bustling with activity.
Despite multiple reviews of racism, I personally did not experience any such behaviours during my visit. The outlet is teeming with visitors including tourists and university students.
I was impressed by the meticulous presentation of our match and made sure to compliment the barista, who responded with a warm smile. Let’s make this world a better place for everyone!
Probably the best kept secret of Georgetown. The location is set 20-30 meters off the main road so you cannot even see the location or any signs from the main drag. Just take a look at the blue bottle sign with no label hanging outside the entrance door. When you walk up to it, It feels discovering a hidden tavern like you are walking down a stone lined Diagon alley way in a Harry Potter movie. And once you enter the doors, the space just feels communal with a lot of birchwood panel colors; versus the contemporary $tarbucks ambience.
It's too bad Blue Bottle coffee distribution model limits its location to DC localities because there are plenty of coffee enthusiats in VA and MD looking for something more niche and specialty coffee beans over $tarbucks. What's not to love about Blue Bottle - the coffee drink is exquisite and unmatched compared to other brands. And Blue Bottle offers self-serve simple syrup for iced coffee drinks - which is genius in my books!
