First off, I'll admit I'm a coffee snob, and by that I mean I'll take what I can get (like Starbucks) if there isn't anything better, but I do like high quality (illy's, Raven's Brew, Pegasus, etc.) I've had Caffé Appassionato coffee before at small vendors and it's not my favorite. The coffee is smooth, but had no particular flavor and is a super light roast. But I'm in the area for a class and this was the only coffee place in walking distance between the class and the hotel that opened early enough (class starts at 7:30am!). So, the coffee gets about 2 stars in my opinion. They do have a good selection of non-dairy milks. The service was 5 stars, very friendly and very quick. The atmosphere is 5 stars, love the heavy wood chairs and tables because they have better back support and don't wobble around like the cheap metal stuff. I especially like the window into the roasting machine area and the outdoor patio with the boarder of bushes.

Nice quiet setting to enjoy company or getting out the laptop. I was very comfortable sitting at the table without a jacket on. I had the hot chocolate without whipping cream. I felt it could have used more chocolate in the 16oz cup. The staff were very nice and greeted me with a smile. I will definitely return to have some coffee and relax from the busy city outside the door.

We stopped by here for breakfast before going to Discovery park. We ordered their chai and blueberry scones. Good chai and scones. Nice decors inside and they sell their own coffee beans. Great place to stop by in the morning.
