I've had mom there for 2.5 years and she loves it. I rarely see her in her room, she is always out and about either in the garden, kibitzintg with the front desk or taking part in an activity. That really wasn't the case when we first got her there and we have seen a marked improvement in her disposition since arriving at Eden Villa. Prior to Eden Villa she slept quite a bit because she said she was bored. I really appreciate the effort made to get her out of shell and interacting again.
Her room is always clean (and private) and the staff calls me when she runs out of personal items that aren't covered under pharmacy. I have quizzed the nursing staff several times about her meds and other care and they have always been on top of things everytime I checked.
I have always thought Eden was well organized and cheery, but lately I have noticed they are "plusing" the grounds with new paint, landscaping, wall art, etc. Love the extra effort! I read somewhere to watch what maintenance is doing (or not doing) to help assess whether or not to join a facility or to continue to stay. I have reported a couple of items to maintenance at Eden and one was taken care on the spot and the other by 11AM the next day. Thanks to Jack and his staff (they even fixed mom's cable) for taking care of all the details that matter most to mom's happiness.
