Worst pharmacy ever.
My goodness this CVS Pharmacy has continuously exhibited the lowest level of professionalism, customer service, and operation I have ever seen. I'm confident the only reason they are still in business serving customers is because there are so few other pharmacies in SLO.
While I have never used this pharmacy, my wife has a condition that can be life-threatening without a medication that they don't always have in stock. This pharmacy manages to do something wrong at least half the time. I've gone with her numerous times and their customer service is a hit-or-miss depending on who you get. I've seen them give the wrong prescription, incorrect amounts, not have it in stock when they said they did, and not give the full order if I am picking up the prescription for her.
Most recently, Janet, was at the counter when I arrived; she made eye contact, did not acknowledge me, and continued checking out the woman who was at the counter in front of me. She was checking out her entire shopping cart while her dog walk around the counter. The other pharmacy workers didn't take notice, say anything, or acknowledge me. I stood in line for 10 min while items were taken from the cart and were spread across two counters. After she slowly packed up her purchase and left the counter, Janet moved left the counter and started doing something else before acknowledging me. When she called me up she took my wife's name, entered it in the computer, and moved away to get the prescription. When she came back she did offer for me to see the pharmacist as she completed the transaction - one positive. Since she walked off, I took the receipt myself, said goodnight, and left. When I got home my wife said it was the wasn't the whole prescription - they didn't fill the prescription she needs to survive! She called and they said they didn't have any in stock - they said none of this to me. The pharmacist looked around and said they had a few samples she could have until the medication arrived. My wife went back and got the entire prescription filled. Why didn't they fill it when I was there, look for it, or say they didn't have it in stock? Why didn't they tell my wife the truth? This is a poorly run pharmacy.
This was a big waste of our time. They hardly provided customer service to me and did not check the order when I was there. To my wife they told her they didn't have any in stock but then happened to find a whole bottle for her when she arrived. This is unacceptable and there should be a zero stars option.
Please just be nice!
They haven’t been for the past year so I would say Take your prescriptions anywhere else. They will not answer your calls, they are not kind and they make you seem like you’re an inconvenience. The CVS at Madonna and LOVR is much more helpful.
