I was really torn about giving this one star, and the only reason I'm giving it two stars is because Jesse was nice enough to do my tire rotation for free, even though I did not buy tires from Discount Tire. I'm from San Diego and had just come back from a 2,000-mile road trip passing through LA, so I wanted to make sure my tires were rotated and inspected. I drive a 2017 Subaru WRX STI, and the reason I mention this will be apparent at the end.
Jesse is very nice and helpful, but I do NOT appreciate that I was the only person in the store at the time. There were no other cars in the bay besides one that was being finished up. The only reason I came in was for a tire rotation, and when I poked my head outside after waiting 15 minutes, curious about why my car wasn't done considering they have air tools and a lift, I saw my hood open. For some reason, that did not sit well with me. I did not ask for anything more than a tire rotation. In the 15 minutes of sitting in the lobby, overhearing Jesse speak to customers, I couldn't help but get the feeling that this store and its employees just try to sell services and parts to customers who have ZERO mechanical knowledge. I find that practice very disgusting and shady. So you can see why I was very apprehensive when I found my car's hood open after sitting in the lobby for 15 minutes, twiddling my thumbs waiting. I feel like if I didn't have mechanical knowledge or wasn't brave enough to ask Jesse what was taking them so long to rotate the tires, I would have been taken advantage of. When I went to the back and saw his employees not doing anything on my car but standing on their phones, I was very disappointed.
