Do not go to Dolce!! You will regret it. I saw the business owner Heather, who did extensions to add length to my hair. At our initial consultation, she let me know how much hair I would need to order. I double checked to make sure it would be enough since I have thick hair and she said it was enough. At my appointment, she tells me that my hair isn't there because one of her other stylists used it on another client. No call from her, I find out when I show up. We reschedule and these pics are her horrible install! You can see chunks where the hair is not blended, as well as sections where hair was not installed correctly and large sections of my natural hair length stick out in an unflattering choppy/obvious way. The hair looks cheap and tacky and is not blended whatsoever with the natural hair. She let me leave the salon looking like this, and said to curl it so it blends better. Major red flag. The final product should look ok, regardless of the style.
I reached out to Heather twice after leaving. The first time was immediately when I got home and noticed how awful it looked once I was in brighter light and had a full view. She responded and again mentioned curling it to blend altogether - and said she could be more “aggressive” with the blending if I wanted. After speaking to two other stylists, I reached out again and let Heather know that I was not comfortable having her fix my hair as she had been ok letting me leave her salon with it looking this bad the first time. She tells me that she was unable to do it correctly because of the method she used to install and the fact that she didn’t have enough hair - she never mentioned either of these things to me during the appointment, although she clearly realized it was not right and let me leave regardless. She waited until I reached out multiple times to say anything about it - she also maintains that her work was good. Not sure what she thinks is good? Not ordering enough hair even though I initially pointed it out? Or the fact that she was frantically trying to make this mess look ok towards the end of my appointment when I noticed more and more sections that looked wrong, and she was way behind on her next client? Unprofessional doesn't even begin to describe the exchange.
She did not offer any type of reimbursement for the shoddy work, and in fact said that she could put more hair in presumably the correct way this time, at an ADDITIONAL install cost to me. Since she didn’t do her job correctly with ordering enough hair (not to mention she added an extra $150 to my bill for two mis-colored sections of hair and never asked if this was ok though she clearly did this because she knew she didn’t order enough hair). I told her that she was not upfront with me any step of the way. I let her know I was reaching out to her first to reimburse me for the $600 install (hair I paid for separately). I would rather have someone else fix it who I can trust. If you want a good outcome for extensions at a salon you can trust, do not go here!
Edit: Heathers husband Wes wanted me to sign a “cease and desist” he typed up that said I committed libel/slander against them for posting this review before they would offer a refund to me LOL! These pictures and her shady tactics are not good for business. She went to the trouble of disabling the review section on her FB business page after my review was posted. It's clear she does not want people to see this. As the business owner, she would rather hide her poor work and mishandling of this situation rather than make it right. With appts available everyday, think twice before going to this “high end” salon. Thankfully for anyone with hair, she herself has stopped seeing clients 🙃 Please ignore Heather’s response below - she has deleted and reposted that message a few times instead of just refunding me. As my photos demonstrate, Heather and her husband did not provide any solutions, just a cease and desist they wanted me to sign saying I had committed libel before they would issue a refund. They are a joke.
