Given the only other option in town, we have tried very hard to patronize this store. Unfortunately we experience problems more times than not. For the price you would expect them to use fresh, not frozen or premixed, ingredients. You would also expect them to feel that smoothies be made and served fresh. They have no problem serving up smoothies that have been sitting around for over 30 minutes and beginning to separate. In addition the staff is very hit or miss. We have had some good interactions but very often they are understaffed and slow. It can sometimes take 20 to 30 minutes to get a smoothie. Very often this can be attributed to the staff talking it up with customers and friends. You want a fresh smoothie made in a reasonable time go elsewhere. Want to get chatted up, wait an apartheid excessive amount of time and pay through the nose, this is your spot.

Emerald City Smoothie is tasty but this location will make you depressed interacting with the employees. Whether they’re mumbling, doing drinks in the wrong order because they don’t communicate, or just not talking at all. I don’t need bubbly people working around me but I’d rather them not be miserable. Gave this place a 4th chance because I’m sometimes in the area but I will just go out of my way to another one from now on. Today I went through the whole process of ordering and watching other people who ordered after me get their drinks without a single word said to me in store
