The worst place , food is cold and microwaved ,care takers don’t know how to take blood pressures just write down what they want to , Heidi doesn’t care for the residence only gos off of what others say but doesn’t listen them . You have to wait for some one to open doors on weekends have waited for 5 mins in cold waiting for them to open doors. And then they what to kick you out if they have problems with there residence because they treat them like there baby’s they can’t express there selves or there a problem they tried to tell me my dad didn’t have dementia and he does. Got told three times different times he was getting a 30 day notice in the winter time ....very sad.please don’t take your loved ones there if you care for them.....

Turnaround. Don’t let your loved one fall victim to the dog and pony show that you’ll likely receive from the management team to show off their privately owned and operated facility. Do your research, talk with family members and make sure you get the tour of memory care while you’re looking. If you’re already trapped in an arrangement, hire a case manager or a health care aide to oversee and provide care that you won’t get.

My friend resided at Fairview. With the exception of a few caregivers who seemingly wanted to provide the best care they could, the rest of the staff were untrained and lacked the ability or desire to provide basic care to memory care residents. What do you get at memory care? A lock that keeps your loved one in the building. No engagement of activity other than a TV. The place reeks of urine. Bathing is not done on a routine basis even when you bring it up over and over. The management staff are horrible to work for and it shows in their employees who willingly negatively speak about them. Look for a facility that doesn’t “hide” the memory care residents ---- look for a facility that engages them with song, music, activities that stimulate them versus just keeping them locked up until death. It’s a really awful existence they lead there …….. make sure you take a tour and don’t settle for COVID restriction BS to see what you’ll be getting. Don’t be fooled by the activities calendar that repeats over and over again or is just for those that can participate. There is too much work to be done with too few people to do it. Multiple times there were HUGE staff turnovers and they’ll tell you it’s the industry and COVID – nope, it’s the management team. Beware of the good google reviews - they’re done by family members of the owner or staff - another smoke and mirror trick.
