Dont do business with these people, especially scott. He will take your money, not do what he says he will for multiple days. when confronted and you ask for the money back he claims he did the work and TEXTED you but then claims you number was off by one number on the paperwork. Problem with that is he 1 could have called to know the number was "wrong" but 2 could have gone back the the multiple calls and voicemails you had left with your number over the week. Needless to say he is a horrible business man if you cant own up to your own mistakes.
My wife and I just purchased our first house, a terrifying idea for a single-income family who have rented for the last nine years. We talked to realtors at Watson Realty, Coldwell Banker, and RE/MAX but we finally decided to go with Misty from Frontier Real Estate as she had a lot of experience in the industry and was the most eager for our business. I'm confident we made the best decision, now that we're finally all moved in.
During the "shopping" process she was incredibly helpful and patient with us, even taking our calls on nights and weekends. When I was particularly panicked at the beginning of the process, she even took a call from me at 9 PM on New Year's Eve. I have a very rigid work schedule, and she was very accomdating and understanding of my situation. She showed us houses on the weekends and even in the evenings on occasions where we were really serious. She really understood that the there was a sense of urgency in the housing market right now, and was always willing to do whatever it took to get our foot in the door early.
When we'd make offers on houses, she was very patient with my questions (I ask a LOT of questions) and very thorough when explaining each form to me. She gave me a lot of food for thought when coming up with what to offer for a house, and what concessions I could or should request. I'd heard horror stories from friends who had made dozens of bids on houses over the course of months before they had a bid accepted; with her help I actually had TWO offers accepted on the same weekend, all within 4 weeks of accepting her representation.
When we went into escrow she continued to be awesome, appearing at the home inspection to point out things she caught during the initial walk through and always keeping us appraised of what the next steps were going to be. She held our hand when further negotiation was required due to the results of the FHA inspection (when all was said and done we got our dream house for 20K less than the asking price). To handle the move-in, I had scheduled my vacation for the day after the scheduled closing date before learning that escrows often close late... but she stayed on top of my lender, the sellers, the underwriters, and the title company and I closed on the exact day I was supposed to (it actually could have closed early, but I was the one who was out of town when it was time to sign some important documents).
My family is now living in our dream home, and it only took 74 days from the afternoon I called to make her my realtor. There was a lot of luck and determination involved, but in the end most of the credit should go to Misty Knoeb and Frontier Real Estate.
