I would strongly advise not giving your business to this company. You will not be valued as a client. The level of customer service I have received is the worst I have ever experienced. The wait time to have your project started will likely be close to a years time. There will be no communication or answers to your questions, GAF subs out work to lackluster contractors who don’t complete installations up to code and were thrives who attempted to intimidate me over the phone. Working with GAF will cause undue stress. I would greatly suggest working with a competent non negligent company. It’s really unfortunate because their product could be a nice alternative to regular panels if the company wasn’t like a plague.

I’ve had the solar roof for about a year now. The production never met what I was quoted. They had a recall for fires being started and they remotely shut down my system. They did repairs and started my system back up pretty quickly. they attempted to offer me $1000 for the time that the system was shut down and not working, but in order to receive the thousand dollars I would have had to sign a release of liability for things that had nothing to do with the system being down for the period it was down . I refused to sign it and never received compensation for the time the system was down. They called me and told me they would come out and inspect my system for quality. they came out, made some repairs and it has been shut down for over a month now. I contacted GAF regarding my system being shut down, but no one has replied to me, or given me any clarification on what is going on and why the system is not on. From my experience, it seems like they didn’t really test the system and shouldn’t have rolled it out yet because it seems like a product that’s not ready for the market. I would highly advise anyone considering this solar roof to not purchase one. at this point, I just want the system removed from my home, and I am looking into taking legal action against the company. I am paying for something that I am getting no use of.

We're renovating our Florida home and looking to install a PV solution to cover our power usage. After researching various options, we found the GAF Solar Shingle solution to be the most promising. We reached out to a roofing company recommended by GAF and things quickly took a turn for the worse. Despite being told about the benefits of the technology, we never received a concrete offer. When we followed up, we were told we'd have a call with a GAF Energy representative, but they never showed up. After weeks of no progress, we reached out to GAF for another contact, only to be connected with the same roofer. We tried finding other roofers on the website, but none of them had experience with the solar roof product. In the end, we switched to Tesla, who provided a compelling offer within hours.
