We had multiple associates ask if we needed assistance during our visit. Store was well organized and felt cozy - my son and I toured around all the departments, trying out drums and Ukes while my partner chose a very decently priced used Breedlove acoustic. Sucks we have to wait two weeks before picking it up - we are from out of town so it's a bit more of an ask - but understand the policy. Pleasant experience and great customer service from Dragen and others there.

Bad service to newcomers. Steven in the keyboard section should be trained a bit better as he has minimal insight on the selection of products and comes off as helpful just to show off in a snobby passive aggressive fashion.
I simply couldnt bring myself to spend $700+ here given his attitude.

This location has definitely gone downhill over the years and probably just needs to close for good. The store used to be a Musician's paradise and now it's the complete opposite. I've been known to frequent the pro audio section and they went from having the best keyboards, drum machines, interfaces, monitors, microphones, headphones etc. to the worse selection. The employees have 0 to little product knowledge and take forever to complete transactions. Dee is the worse and had the audacity to raise his voice and speak to me in a disrespectful and unpleasant tone as if he were challenging me. I explained to him that my time is of the essence and I didn't appreciate him ignoring my needs and assisting several other customers that arrived to the checkout counter after me. I was on my lunch break and it took approximately 45 minutes to get an item the he told me that "he guaranteed wasn't in stock." He failed to realize that I had contacted the store previously that morning and when I spoke to Steve he told me that he had the item in his hand. I tried to explain but Dee wants to be a know it all so bad that he basically ignored me. Then he tried to act like I was the problem once I got offended. I've spent thousands and thousands of dollars at the Tacoma, Tukwila, and other Guitar Center locations during the course of the last two or three decades and I never experienced such treatment. I'm definitely not pleased with my shopping experience and wouldn't recommend anyone to shop at The Tacoma location unless they're prepared to experience their worse shopping experience in life!!! "Just say NO and save yourself the inconvenience..."
