I came to them because I was desperate. The renting market is beyond corrupt in the Wenatchee are and Herring & Associates is just part of the problem. When my roommate and I first moved in, the place was a disaster. The tub was a mess, the yard was dead and had garbage everywhere. The maintenance crew left their entire mess behind. Much of the doors they had worked on painting we're left outside to rot. On top of this the dishwasher we paid for to be included with the unit was broken from the start. We called to have it repaired and they didn't show up until 4 months after we moved in to repair it. We cleaned the place up and were told we would not be liable for the mess of the yard. It was in the contract and everything. After moving out I cleaned the carpets using carpet cleaner to be sure we would leave it in the best condition. After doing the walkthroufh with them they told me that we would be charged for our stove pans being dirty, which was fine. We did miss cleaning that. Eventually we got our deposit back and they had charged us $175 for carpet cleaning, and $200 for the yard. Needless to say, we saw this coming as soon as we signed on with them. We knew we would ultimately be scammed by this company, but it still sucks.Thanks for continuing to be a part of the problem guys! 👍 Keep up the awful work!

I have had a hell of a time with rentals and was in such a jam. It was hard to say if I would even have a home after what I was going through. I was very emotional and distraught at the point when I went to rent from Herring. They were willing to work with me and what I was going through and they were very helpful. I ended up in another place, but they need to be commended for their help and their willingness to help someone. I have rented across the country over a decade and a half, there is a set of rules and there is a set of things that you have to follow. This isn't something that you can't bend on because of privacy and other legal issues. I've gotten most of my deposits back anywhere I've gone. They are a business, and a pet fee that is non refundable is standard in a LOT of cities across the country. Wenatchee is not a special nugget for these kind of things. The cleaning required to make a home that is no longer pet friendly clean and sanitized, requires a lot of work. Always do a walk through WITH the company, don't be impatient. You accept liability if you don't. There seems to be a lot of people that seem to think that the rent is too high; no its not. The economy and the growth of the valley is indicative of what is going on. Herring was very good to me, and was very straightforward with me about their rental process. I appreciated them 100%, although I may not be renting wit them as long as you are upfront and honest with them, they will be with you.

I am looking for a rental and have tried calling and leaving several messages with Heather. No one got back with me. It's their loss. This is very indicitve of future business with them, horrible!
