The Spinaci e pera (spinach/pear/gorgonzola) salad was a little disappointing but still a nice start to the meal. 1st- Pappardelle ai porcine (half size) Was exactly as I hoped, and paired nicely with the pinot Grigio. Buttery pappardelle and great depth of flavor.
2) the Vitello Saltimbocca. Though we ordered a half size, I was charged for full-size, but I'm pretty sure we received the full size as it was a decent amount of food. It came with vegetables, and while the red cabbage seemed out of place, it was prepared well, and the zucchini was grilled perfectly. Great texture and flavor.
The veal and sauce were stellar, but i might have liked the prosciutto a little crisper. Paired with a sangiovese since I didn't want another white; it was good, but another lighter red may have been better. Sop up that sauce with the bread. It's tasty.
