Solid 3 stars. The trains are fun to look at, especially the model trains. It's an interesting experience.
Now the problems
The line is horrific. It takes them 10-15 minutes per customer. Only one register can do everything needed (including giving put pre-ordered tickets) and there isn't a lot of room for the line, so people are just everywhere. It's absolute chaos.
The train ride is short, I can't really fault them for this, the track is limited, but the price point is a little high for the short ride you get (that just goes back and forth a couple times.
The smaller kids train is always breaking down. It might be good for them to invest in a new pulley and belt system.
Again, it's overall pretty fun but they need to do some work to get a 5 star from me.
Phenomenal! This is bar-none the best railway museum I've visited. The nonprofit behind it has put in so much excellent work, and it really shines through the exhibits and restored rolling stock. My kids had a blast on the scale railway ride outside. And I scored a cool BN coffee mug from the gift shop!
Highly recommend! Well done!
