I am writing to express my concern regarding a dangerous incident involving a tow truck driver from Jim’s Towing. Today, while traveling on 11th Avenue from 66th Street to 75th Street, I witnessed reckless driving behavior by one of their drivers. The individual was filming another tow truck, both of which were white. The driver of the tow truck, who was busy recording a video on his phone, was driving recklessly and endangering everyone on the road.

This behavior is extremely hazardous and unacceptable, especially for a professional driver responsible for the safety of other motorists. It’s alarming to see such negligence, particularly when temporary no parking zones are creating chaotic situations in our city. This kind of conduct not only puts lives at risk but also undermines public trust in towing services.

It’s crucial that Jim’s Towing addresses this issue immediately. The driver’s distraction from using a phone while operating a tow truck is a blatant disregard for public safety. Whether this individual was attempting to create content as an influencer or was otherwise distracted, it’s clear that his driving was severely impacted.

I urge the city and Jim’s Towing to take appropriate actions to ensure such reckless behavior is not tolerated and that the safety of our streets is prioritized.
