I must see for kids and adults if visiting or living LA. It's very informative about the fauna of the LA basin thousands of years ago. You can see researchers in the fishbowl cleaning tar off various bones of long extinct animals too. The exhibits are very impressive.

Nice connection to the past. Lived in California a long time and just never made the trip. Expected something different but I wasn't disappointed. I like the virtual animals that you can scan and see to scale. Crazy that is is still bubbling and seeping still.

The museum had a very nice collection. The overall all space was small however they used every space exceptionally well showcasing beautiful specimens. The outside was lovely walking around. The tarots are a bit smelly of course, but very interesting things to look at!
