Hotel is clean and has the basics. Also, quiet eventhough it's near a major highway. Refrigerator is in the room and the bed is comfortable. There are USB outlets beside the bed. The breakfast had a variety of options from waffles to cold cereal, muffins to bagels, eggs and ham.

Dirty poop on bathroom wall, rude staff (Stephanie and Sarah), asked for towels a cot and extra blankets didn’t get anything asked for. Spoke with the manager and he seemed uncaring. Manager David kept asking for us to give examples of how we were treated. The carpet all around the hotel was dirty. One customer told me in the lobby during breakfast that her room smelled like urine. Phone wasn’t working in our room. The air conditioner didn’t work. Loud party in back of hotel and staff said they couldn’t do anything about it. Dave tried to get us an extra pillow and said the room that the pillows were in were locked and he couldn’t get in the room to get us one. He was really trying to help us. |||The only staff member that willing to help with anything is the overnight receptionist Dave.

We hoped to check in at 3 pm but our room was not ready until 3:30. Our room had been booked since February and due to the Ironman event being held in Richland I’m sure they were very full. They more or less implied that it was our fault the room wasn’t ready (for being part of the large number of guests booked?)…I guess they would rather not have so many people stay there? It wouldn’t have been an issue if we weren’t needing to unload our car and clean up for meeting family early that eve. It inconvenienced us but the worst part was they didn’t seem to care. They should have at least pretended to be sorry about the delay but instead just made excuses including telling me that check in was between 3 and 4. Somehow the “manager” could not show me on their website where it says check in is anything but 3. I suggested they could waive the $20 pet fee to make a good will gesture for the delay but they were not interested in offering anything. To their credit an “upper” manager did end up not charging the $20 pet fee. Outside of the attitude of the front desk personnel, every thing else was fine. The room was clean and nice enough (terrible view of part of the building’s roof) but all in all not a bad stay. The front desk personnel were more cordial for the remainder of our stay. The biggest drawback of the room is that all the doors are heavy, made of steel, and are mounted in steel door frames. They are very loud and we could hear most every door being “slammed” every time someone closed it.
