The hotel was overall very disappointing. The only pro was the valet was very welcoming and nice and offered rides up and down the hill. We stayed for the weekend and booked an executive suite. The first suite we were offered was right at reception by the bar and restaurant and was going to be very noisy. The second room was very stuffy and smelled of mildew. The third room looked fine at first glance so we chose it. Upon further inspection the room was very dirty. There were stains in the carpet, multiple light fixtures were broken/didn’t work, the bed creaked loudly and some of the cabinets omitted foul smells when opened. The furniture also didn’t match, nothing was coordinated and there were rips and holes in the cushions. The windows were very dirty as well as leaves and dust on the window sills. Even though we were in an executive suite we didn’t have a microwave and there were no robes. We noticed the demographic of the hotel was mostly caucasians and While walking through the halls we noticed several room were nicer and cleaner than ours. The only thing that looked pleasant was the front entrance. This hotel was also very overpriced for the amenities. The decor is very outdated and everything just looks old. Upon checking in they charged us an additional $450 for “potential damages”. They also charged us for water, $25 for a microwave, $30 daily resort fee (the pool and gym were very small. They also charged $220+ for cabanas at the pool.)

My stay at this hotel was absolutely fantastic! From the moment I arrived, Bernadette, the reservation manager, made sure everything was perfect, arranging an early check-in and late check-out for me without hesitation. The room was impeccably clean, and I loved the balcony overlooking the pool and Getty museum—it truly felt like paradise. This hotel is a gem for anyone looking to escape and unwind. I can't wait to come back!"

Great location, but the hotel was not great. The first room I stayed in on the night before my wedding was right across from the courtyard and ballroom. Music from the courtyard and ballroom from a party that was being held there was blasting until midnight and there was no blocking it out. It was so loud that I couldn't get any sleep. I called the front desk and asked them to close the doors of the ballroom or move us to another room. They did neither. They just kept saying, "music will stop at 11:30," when it was still going on after 11:30, they said, it was stop at 11:45, when it was still going on after 11:45, they said by midnight. Unacceptable! The next night, on our wedding night, my husband and I stayed in the upper part of the hotel, which was quieter, but there were spiders in the room. One was right next to my nightstand, crawling near my side of the bed, and another one was in the bathroom. Definitely Not worth the high cost of the resort fee or room. A disappointment for sure.
