My guitar lessons with Ross Garlow at Lydian music so far have moved me forward with my playing technique and hearing the rhythm of the music we are working on. Ross is excellent and even allows me to record some of our lessons so I can practice along at home.
The studio space is warm, bright, and inviting. I recommend both the studio and the instructor wholeheartedly!
Lydian Music Studios is an amazing new venue in Portland, filling a perfect niche for teachers, musicians, and small ensembles in need of a teaching, rehearsal space, or intimate performance venue. We had a professional opera rehearsal in this space with three singers, three instrumentalists and it was warm, inviting, and inspiring (did I mention the awesome grand piano!). As a professional musician and producer, owner Nicholas Meyer knows what musicians need and provides a seamless experience at an incredibly affordable rate so you can make the magic happen without the hassle. This space is quickly becoming a go-to venue and it's awesome to see aspiring young musicians brushing shoulders with seasoned pros in a studio.
