For the second time in a few years a $100 pair of garment-dyed pants washed unevenly. I went in to bring it to their attention. Instead of being polite and professional, it was like sitting for a deposition; the employee was incredibly impolite. Bellevue Square is my closer, but I’ll just go to UVillage. Shopping is meant to be enjoyable.

I have shopped at Madewell once or twice and have had ok experiences, but this time around I gave it another try and was very pleased with the customer service. The rep (I believe her name was Jessie) was incredibly helpful and gave me tons of useful and honest feedback! I am excited about my new jeans and will definitely be back!

Rude employees. I wasn’t acknowledged at all despite them paying attention to others. I waited to try on clothes for about 10 minutes. There isn’t a physical line, just people standing around with clothes so I made eye contact with several workers to make sure they knew I was waiting. Only when I went into an empty changing room did they greet me and tell me there’s a line and that I needed to wait. How am I supposed to get in “line” if no one will acknowledge me? Do I not fit your demographic, Madewell? This experience was so gross that I don’t think I’ll ever buy from them again.
